Khaberni - At least 7 people were killed, and 11 others were injured, due to the crash of a UPS cargo plane near Louisville Airport in the state of Kentucky, as reported by CNN on Wednesday.

The channel mentioned that a UPS cargo plane crashed shortly after taking off from Louisville Airport last night while it was on its way to "Honolulu", leaving behind massive destruction in stores and roads where a huge cloud of dense black smoke spread for miles.

From his side, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear confirmed the death of at least 7 people and the injury of 11 others, cautioning that these numbers could rise as the investigation continues.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are conducting an investigation into the plane crash, noting that the National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation.
