Khaberni - Jordan participated on Wednesday in the tenth (10) meeting of the permanent delegates to the Arab League with the ambassadors of the Political and Security Committee of the European Union, which was held at the EU headquarters in Brussels, the Belgian capital.
Jordan's Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Amjad Al-Adailah, emphasized during his interventions at the meeting Jordan’s positions and policies supporting dialogue and multilateral cooperation as a means to address various challenges and current crises, and prioritizing political solutions in their paths.
During the consultations between representatives of Arab countries and European Union countries, Al-Adailah discussed the central importance and priority of the Palestinian issue, the situations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and ways to consolidate the ceasefire and facilitate the entry of aid and stop the unilateral Israeli violations and assaults, as a path to creating a roadmap leading to the restoration of hope and joint action from various regional and international active parties and forces to achieve the desired peace and stability.
He also stressed during the meeting, which aims to enhance Arab-European dialogue, the need to support efforts to enhance stability in Syria, necessary for regional and international security, and to strengthen efforts to rebuild the Syrian state, maintaining its security and the integrity of its territory and citizens.
The meeting was co-chaired by the Permanent Representative of the UAE to the Arab League, Ambassador Hamad Al Zaabi, and the Chair of the Political and Security Committee of the European Union Council, Ambassador Delphine Pronk.
The meeting addressed Arab-European coordination and enhancing political consultation channels between the two sides, with discussions on the most prominent issues of mutual priority, including the Palestinian issue and developments in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen, and other issues with humanitarian and security implications.
During the meeting, both sides affirmed the importance of continuing joint efforts to confront the political, economic, social, and security challenges that threaten stability in the shared region, reaffirming their commitment to expand the scope of the Arab-European partnership as a fundamental pillar of the regional response.
