Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Deputy Minister of Social Affairs, Dr. Khaled Al-Ajmi, issued an administrative circular banning smoking in all forms inside wedding halls belonging to the ministry or under its supervision.
Dr. Al-Ajmi emphasized in Circular No. (17) for the year 2025 that the decision is based on the Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014, amended by Law No. 99 of 2015, and the resolution No. 2 of 2015 by the General Authority for Environmental Affairs, stressing that the prohibition of smoking and the use of cigarettes and tobacco in any form inside wedding halls is to avert the legal responsibilities associated with violations of this rule.
