The mother, Lauren Morrow, woke up to the screams of her son Ashton Bates, to find his neck and hands covered in burns, while the smell of burning emanated from the room.
It turned out that the shock resulted from contact between the charging cable and a metal chain the child was wearing, which caused it to stick to his skin and burn, according to the British newspaper "The Sun".
The boy was taken to the emergency department where doctors confirmed he had survived a certain death, as the shock nearly reached one of the main arteries in the neck.
