Khaberni - Jeffrey Coleman, a former White House doctor, expressed doubts about the MRI scan that President Donald Trump underwent last October.
Trump had announced from his presidential plane that he had undergone an MRI at the Walter Reed Medical Center, describing the results as perfect, without clarifying the reason for the exam.
The White House released a brief one-page summary indicating that Trump is in "excellent general health," and that the visit included "advanced imaging examinations, lab tests, and preventive evaluations," but without explaining the reason for the imaging tests.
Coleman told "The Hill" newspaper: "The helicopter trip from the White House to Walter Reed takes about 8 minutes, which leaves at least 4 hours for medical care."
He noted that most procedures could be carried out within the White House, except for advanced imaging that requires a visit to the medical center.
He confirmed that Trump’s visit to the Walter Reed center is normal for a 79-year-old man, but he noted the absence of details about what exactly the doctors were looking for.
In recent months, journalists have noticed swelling in the president's ankle and a permanent bruise on his right hand, sometimes covered with makeup.
In July last year, the White House announced that Trump suffers from chronic venous insufficiency related to leg swelling, but he is in excellent overall health.
