Khaberni - The Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, inaugurated on Tuesday the Prince Rashid Rose Garden Sports Club Stadium in the Eil District of Ma'an Governorate. During his visit, accompanied by the Governor of Ma'an, Khaled Al-Hajjaj, he inspected several youth facilities and centers in the governorate.
This tour is part of a field program covering all governates of the kingdom, aimed at observing the reality of youth centers, understanding their primary needs, and monitoring the programs and activities implemented there, which contribute to the development of the youth work environment and enhancing their role in serving the local community.
The minister inaugurated the stadium in the presence of the Director of Civil Defense of Ma'an Omar Al-Sbeilat, the Director of Eil District Mohamed Saeedat, former President of Ma'an Governorate Council Mahmoud Al-Naimat, Director of Youth in Ma'an Mamdouh Abu Tayeh, and President of Prince Rashid Rose Garden Club, Ghazi Al-Naimat, among other dignitaries and club presidents.
Dr. Al-Adwan emphasized that the opening of this stadium marks an important milestone in the journey of the youth movement in the Eil District, for the significant role sport plays in serving the youth and developing their skills. He noted that the stadium serves as a venue for the youth to express their sporting talents and creativity, contributing to the development of the sports sector in the kingdom, in response to the royal directives aimed at supporting and empowering the youth in various fields.
The field visit included the Petra Young Women's Center in Petra District, where, in the presence of Governor Ma'an Khaled Al-Hajjaj, Deputy Hussein Kreishan, and the Petra District Commissioner Saddam Al-Majali, Director of Youth in Petra Fadi Al-Fadool, and the Director of Engineering Affairs in the ministry, Engineer Dia Al-Majali, he met with the center staff and several members, listening to them discuss the Grandma's Club concept based around dialogic and educational sessions that connect elderly women with young women to preserve and pass on cultural heritage and traditions between generations.
The minister continued his tour with a visit to Petra Stadium, inspecting along with the Minister of Public Works, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Semn, the key needs of the stadium for maintenance and updates that serve the youth movement in Petra District.
He concluded his tour with visits to the Petra Youth Directorate and Petra Youth House, Petra Youth Center, and Taiyiba Young Women's Center, meeting with the staff and members, and listening to their primary needs that enhance youth work in the district ensuring its sustainability.
Minister Al-Adwan also witnessed a youth dialogue session held at Busta Youth Center, where the young men and women members of the center discussed ways to enhance and develop youth work, and he listened to their training needs and demands.
During the session, he confirmed that the National Youth Strategy for the years 2026–2030 would be the result of a comprehensive national survey conducted by the ministry, aimed at monitoring the knowledge and training needs of the youth, and incorporating them into programs that enhance technological empowerment and help develop their capabilities to meet contemporary requirements.
