Khaberni - Mahmoud Eid, the Chairman of the interim board of the Barbershop Owners Association, said on Tuesday that there will be an adjustment to the barbering pricing that has been in place since 2007, which will be presented to the general assembly for voting.
He added that the economic conditions are the reason for the move to increase the pricing, which will be approved after a meeting of the general assembly, according to Al Mamlaka.
He explained that it is necessary for the board to convene to set the pricing, which will then be presented to the general assembly for voting, where they may make amendments to it.
Eid confirmed that "the decision ultimately rests with the general assembly," noting the rise in prices of cosmetic products used in barbering.
Regarding the barbers’ Monday holiday, Eid said that the holiday and its mandatory status are decided by the general assembly.
Regarding the employment of foreign workers in the barbering sector, Eid said that the profession is closed to Jordanians.
