Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Court of Appeals sentenced a citizen to 7 years in prison with hard labor, after he was convicted of insulting the Emir and adopting extremist ideologies, in addition to planning to travel to Nigeria to join ISIS and fight among its ranks.
After meticulous secret investigations, the security forces in the Ministry of Interior managed to apprehend the accused, who was found through investigations to have embraced extremist ideas and called for the overthrow of the country's regime through publications and actions of a Takfiri nature.
The verdict from the "Appeals" court overturned the previous judgment issued by the Criminal Court, which had acquitted the accused of the charge of insulting the Emir, to increase the penalty and convict him of the charges attributed to him.
