Khaberni - The Minister of Public Works and Housing, Engineer Maher Abu Al-Saman, conducted a field tour today, Tuesday, in Ma'an Governorate, where he inspected the progress of work on two projects: Ma'an Military Hospital, the Outpatient Building and the Blood Bank associated with Ma'an Governmental Hospital, along with checking the maintenance works carried out by the Ma'an Public Works Department on the Royal Sidewalk Road.

During his visit to the site of the Ma'an Military Hospital, he reviewed the progress in the project execution, where the completion rate reached 87%.

The hospital is being built on an area of approximately 30,000 square meters, with a capacity of 150 beds distributed over four floors and two basement levels, at a total cost of 35 million Jordanian dinars.

Abu Al-Saman emphasized the strategic importance of the hospital, which is being implemented as part of a royal benevolence, pointing out that the Ma'an Governorate is in dire need of this comprehensive health facility, due to its role in improving the level of medical services provided to citizens and members of the armed forces in the area.

The minister stressed the need to adhere to the set schedules, noting that any delay in completion is considered a disruption to service delivery, directing the relevant departments in the ministry and the supervising consultancy office to activate contractual procedures to ensure the project is completed within the specified time frame.

In the same context, the minister inspected the project of the Outpatient Building and Blood Bank in Ma'an Government Hospital, which is being implemented by the ministry over a total area of 5,154 square meters, aiming to support the health infrastructure in the governorate by providing integrated diagnostic and therapeutic services under one roof.

The building consists of two floors, and includes general and specialized clinics covering cardiology, urology, ophthalmology, gynecology, pediatrics, dermatology, audiology, as well as medical laboratories, a regional blood bank, and rooms for general radiology, panoramic radiology, and ultrasound.

The cost of the project is estimated at 3.5 million Jordanian dinars, while the completion rate has reached about 80%.

The minister concluded his tour by inspecting the maintenance works carried out by the Ma'an Public Works Department on the Royal Sidewalk Road, which included repaving parts of the road, and road marking and painting works to enhance traffic safety elements, appreciating the efforts made to improve the road conditions in the governorate and enhance the safety level for its users.
