Khaberni - Weather Department Director Raed Rafed Al-Khattab stated that the kingdom felt the influence of a high-pressure extension through most of October 2025, generating moderate temperatures across most regions, while conditions were relatively hot in the desert, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba areas.
Al-Khattab added that during various periods (3–5, 21–23, 27–28, 30–31 October), the kingdom was under the influence of weak thermal surface depressions, which caused a slight increase in temperatures; meanwhile, pleasantly cool weather prevailed during the period (6–10 October) due to a mild air mass influencing the kingdom. Light rain showers occurred on the morning of 9 October in the northern and central Jordan Valley and limited parts of northern Jordan.
Al-Khattab clarified that the average temperature at Amman Civil Airport for October was 21.9 degrees Celsius, which is 0.4 degrees Celsius above the general average, with the highest recorded temperature reaching 34.4 degrees Celsius on 4 October, and the lowest recorded temperature at 13.2 degrees Celsius on 30 October.
The director of meteorology pointed out that Deir Alla station recorded the highest maximum temperature nationwide at 41.5 degrees Celsius, while Shoubak station recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 1.6 degrees Celsius.
Regarding rainfall, Al-Khattab explained that the kingdom experienced only one rainy day during the month, registering light amounts of rain ranging from 0.4 to 3.8 mm in several northern regions, accounting for no more than 1% of the general seasonal average.
The director of meteorology indicated that the cumulative rainfall since the start of the rainy season up to the end of October 2025 continues to fall below average levels in all regions of the kingdom, with ratios not exceeding (1–2%) of the annual seasonal average.
