Khaberni - The occupation army claimed that it thwarted an attempt to smuggle weapons on the eastern border of occupied Palestine with Jordan.
Military sources said that earlier (Tuesday), surveillance systems of the army detected a drone crossing the border from the Jordanian side into the occupied territories in the Yoav regional area (southern occupied Palestine), attempting to smuggle weapons.
Following the detection, field forces mobilized and were able to thwart the smuggling operation and seize the drone.
Sources noted that the drone was carrying ten pistols, which were later transferred to the security agencies to complete investigations and necessary procedures.
The army spokesperson claimed that the operation was thwarted quickly and efficiently, indicating that the confiscated weapons would undergo a thorough security examination to determine their source and the entities behind the smuggling attempt.
