Khaberni - Azmi Muhafaza, the Minister of Education, inaugurated on Tuesday the Baoun Basic Mixed School in Ajloun Governorate, which accommodates 250 students and includes 12 classrooms, laboratories, workshops, kindergartens, and playgrounds, with a financial cost reaching two million dinars.

Muhafaza stated that the school was established on an area of 4 dunams and includes a playground of 800 square meters, comprising two floors, computer and science laboratories, and a first aid room, as well as art and vocational workshops. He mentioned that the opening of the school contributed to no longer needing two rented schools in the area.

He added that the ministry instructed the transfer of grades one to four from the Baoun High School for Girls to the new school, aiming to reduce overcrowding at Baoun High School, which accommodates about 750 students. He explained that the transfer decision was made due to the technical difficulty of dividing the high school into two independent schools.

He confirmed that two additional classrooms for kindergartens will be created in Baoun High School, to meet the students' needs in the area.

During a field tour, Muhafaza inspected a number of schools in Ajloun Governorate and examined their educational and infrastructural status, emphasizing the importance of improving the school environment to enhance academic achievement levels.

Muhafaza emphasized the necessity for students to adhere to school attendance, urging the local community to cooperate with the Directorate of Education in monitoring student attendance and ensuring their regularity in classrooms.

Muhafaza confirmed that the Ministry of Education will not tolerate unjustified absenteeism.
