Khaberni - On Tuesday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for an immediate halt to the violence in Sudan, warning of the situation's deterioration and encouraging the conflicting parties to negotiate.
Guterres emphasized on the sidelines of the second World Summit for Social Development in Doha the need to put an end to the "nightmare of violence" in Sudan.
He added, "I call on the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces to work with my personal envoy to Sudan; to reach a negotiated settlement.. Approach the negotiation table."
