Khaberni - The College of Information Technology at Amman Arab University participated in the second international conference entitled "Universities and Artificial Intelligence Technology: How AI is Reshaping the Future of Higher Education", which was held at the Landmark Hotel – Amman, organized by the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), in collaboration with the Association of Chinese Universities and a number of international academic institutions.
Representing the President of Amman Arab University, Professor Dr. Mohammad Wadiyan, at the conference was Dr. Rami Sawahil, Dean of the College of Information Technology, accompanied by four students from the college: Al-Anoud Al-Qawasmeh, Ru'a Washah, Ahmed Zakaria, and Sundus Kayali.
The sessions of the conference discussed the transformations witnessed by higher education due to artificial intelligence technologies, and how these technologies are reshaping the future of education and university governance amidst the accelerated digital revolution. The sessions included a set of specialized scientific topics, among the most prominent: the application of artificial intelligence in sustainable education, the role of virtual reality and natural language processing in developing educational methods, quality issues and professional development for academic leaders, managing the digital transformation in universities, and in the track "Artificial Intelligence for Cyber Security", speakers discussed the importance of enhancing the security of smart educational systems and ensuring data protection and privacy, in addition to addressing the ethical aspects associated with artificial intelligence like algorithmic bias and digital responsibility.
Dr. Sawahil emphasized Amman Arab University's keenness to actively participate in international conferences that focus on exchanging expertise and transferring knowledge to the academic field, as this plays a role in achieving the goals of sustainable development, praising the distinguished participation of the college students and their role in spreading the culture of scientific research and practically applying theoretical knowledge.
On their part, the participating students expressed their pride in this valuable scientific experience, which gave them the opportunity to explore the latest research and international trends in the fields of artificial intelligence and cyber security, affirming that participating in such events contributes to enhancing their research and practical skills and broadening their horizons towards innovation.
This participation is part of Amman Arab University's strategy aimed at empowering its students to engage in international academic events and enhance the leadership of technical thought and scientific research, in line with the accelerated developments in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
