Khaberni - The artist Bayoumi Fouad revealed the reason for his withdrawal from his colleague Ahmed El Awadi's new series "Ali Clay," after their reconciliation and Fouad's initial approval of the role.
Bayoumi Fouad confirmed in a statement to the media personality Eli Nakhlé that his decision was based on his personal health conditions, as he felt severe fatigue in his legs which prevented him from committing to shooting 30 full episodes, explaining that he preferred to look for shorter projects ranging from 13 to 15 episodes to suit his condition.
Bayoumi Fouad denied that the withdrawal was due to any dispute with El Awadi, explaining that he had personally contacted him and explained his position, which El Awadi fully understood, confirming that their relationship was not affected and that he intends to congratulate the team when he returns to Egypt.
Bayoumi Fouad indicated that the contract had already been signed and all the paperwork was ready, but he decided to prioritize his health, pointing to his relationship with Ahmed El Awadi being based on mutual respect and friendship for a long time, and there is no tension between them after the recent reconciliation.
This statement comes after a period of controversy between them following their participation in the film "Al-Iskandarani" and a dispute about the real lead of the project, before the tension was finally resolved and the door was opened for artistic collaboration once again.
It is worth noting that the series "Ali Clay" is written by Mahmoud Hamdan and directed by Mohamed Abdel Salam, and it is scheduled to begin shooting this month, with production by Synergy company, and Ahmed El Awadi will portray a boxer within the events of the series.
In a related context, El Awadi is preparing to shoot his new film "Shamshoon and Delilah" starring Mai Omar, in preparation for its release in Egyptian and Arab cinemas, continuing his intense artistic activity in the coming period.
