Khaberni - The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Bakriya Charity Center for Kidney Dialysis in the Du'an district of Hadhramout Governorate, benefiting 49 individuals directly and 79,545 individuals indirectly.
The project provides kidney dialysis services for patients with chronic kidney failure to alleviate their suffering and secure healthcare for them in the directorate and neighboring directorates, while the project's area spans 1120 square meters.
The design includes the latest medical standards, featuring specialized facilities including main dialysis units, with a capacity of up to (13) dialysis chairs, isolation rooms specifically for patients with hepatitis viruses (B and C) to ensure their safety and protect other beneficiaries, a clinic for the attending doctor, examination rooms for necessary medical follow-up, and a comprehensive water purification and desalination station that is essential for the quality and safety of the dialysis sessions, and housing designated for the core medical staff to ensure the continuity of service and rapid response of the team.
Hadhramout Governor Mukhbat Mubarak bin Madi affirmed that the project represents a qualitative addition to the healthcare sector, especially since patients had been enduring the hardship of traveling in search of this vital service, appreciating the continuous support and humanitarian and developmental aids provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Center for Relief in various sectors in the governorate.
This comes as part of a series of relief and humanitarian projects and programs provided by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Center for Relief; to support the health sector, and enhance the infrastructure of basic services in Yemen.
