Khaberni - Al Hilal Saudi regained the lead in the league stage standings in the Western region of the elite AFC Champions League for the current season, a few hours after losing it to Al Wahda from UAE, which in turn temporarily fell to second place with 10 points.
Al Hilal returned to the top after reaching 12 points this Monday evening, by defeating their host Al-Gharafa from Qatar (2-1), at the Thani bin Jassim Stadium in Al Rayyan, in the fourth round of the Western region league competition of the Asian championship.
Al Hilal's players Salem Al-Dawsari and Kayo Cezar scored the two goals at the 9th and 66th minutes, while Al-Gharafa scored its only goal through Ayoub Mohammed in the 8th minute of added time for the match.
Al Hilal, previously crowned Asian continental champion four times, remained the only team with a perfect record (full marks) in this round so far across both the Eastern and Western regions.
