Khaberni - Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh sponsored this Monday evening in the town of Amleh a celebration at Amleh Cultural House in memory of Amleh's son and Jordan's late artist Fares Awad.

Minister Al-Rawashdeh stated that today in Amleh we are commemorating a national cultural and artistic figure, Fares Awad, a son of Amleh who enriched generations’ emotions with his sweet words and beautiful melodies, which he derived from our ancient heritage—the heritage of villages and Bedouin life, celebrating human kindness and place aesthetics.

He added, "Today as we remember the late Fares Awad, a pioneer of national and folk songs, we recall the cultured artist who chose art as a noble message and elevated the song with his experience that was distinguished by his Jordanian dialect derived from folk heritage. His songs were simple and resonated closely with people's emotions and resembled them."

Writer Haza’a Al-Barari presented a review of the legacy of the late Fares Awad who carried the Jordanian national identity in his words, songs, features, laughter, and left a legacy that transcended geography. Although he lived only for a short period and his songs did not exceed 20, they are sufficient to immortalize his memory.

Researcher Dr. Abdullah Al-Assaf provided a review of the life and artistic career of the late Fares Awad, noting that he left a significant musical heritage as he sung for the nation and the leader and was early discovered by artist Rouhi Shaeen at a wedding in Madaba. He mentioned that he is working on writing a book "Fares Awad: His Life and Artistic Journey" to keep his memory alive.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the President of Amleh Cultural House, Haya Qubilat, made a speech stating that Amleh House is a traditional house built in 1935 and served as a school, village council, and grain store and was donated by its owners for public good after renovation to become a pioneering cultural library.

She added, Amleh House was keen on holding this celebration and commemorating Amleh's son and national figure, Fares Awad.

At the end of the ceremony, the sponsor of the event handed out shields to the participants and the mother of the late Fares Awad.
