Complaints about the spread of rats in a government school and the Education of AlSalt responds

Khaberni - Parents complained about the spread of rats in a government elementary school in the city of Al-Salt, while the director of Al-Salt Education denied this, noting that only one small rat was discovered and dealt with.

In detail, a parent of one of the students said during a call with the live broadcast program on Jordanian Radio, presented by media person Saddam Al-Majali, that rats are very widespread in Shafa Al-Amiriya School in the city of Al-Salt, and roam among the students inside the classrooms.

She added that this has caused a state of terror among the children, who now dream of rats at night.
The mother confirmed that she found a rat inside her daughter's school bag when she returned home, and it seems it had slipped into the bag looking for food.

She explained that she revisited the school administration, which acknowledged the problem of the spread of rats, and the school's inability to handle it due to the spread in the surrounding area, which lacks sewage services.

On his part, the director of Al-Salt Education, Ali Khreisat, said that rats are not widespread, explaining that only one small rat was found in the school's external yard, denying their presence inside the classrooms.

Khreisat affirmed that the Directorate of Education is conducting spraying and cleaning campaigns in the areas surrounding the schools, including the aforementioned school, committing to forming a committee and addressing the municipality to verify the reality of the spread of rats and to take necessary actions.
