Within two consecutive days, Mohammad Khair Al-Shu'ala was expelled from two mosques in the Damascus countryside, the first in Qarah city, and the second in Harasta, under the pretext that he was among those who remained silent about the crimes of the ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime and did not take a clear stance against the genocide that the Syrian people suffered at the hands of Bashar al-Assad’s regime army.
This event has caused a split among social media users, where a team from the Ministry of Religious Endowments has demanded that Al-Shu'ala not be allowed to deliver lectures and religious lessons in mosques, while another group expressed their support for him, urging the Syrian government to put an end to "those provocative actions," as they put it.
