Accusation of a Kuwaiti Lawyer for Importing Drugs from London

Khaberni - The Criminal Court in Kuwait decided to refer the case of the lawyer accused of importing and trafficking narcotics from London, in collaboration with a young man and a woman, to the chief of the general court for consideration of assigning a new panel, after the court perceived a conflict of interest in handling the case. The General Department for Drug Control had managed to apprehend the accused in a well-executed sting operation following information that the lawyer had imported a quantity of drugs through his international trips and promoted them domestically with the help of the other two accused.

The Public Prosecution referred the accused to the Criminal Court after charging them with importing drugs for the purpose of trafficking and consumption, while the panel reassignment is expected later to continue reviewing the case and listening to the witnesses’ testimonies.
