AIenhanced Siri to arrive next March

Khaberni - Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, confirmed the arrival of AI-enhanced “Siri” features in March with the release of the “iOS 26.4” update, according to a report published by the tech site “Tech Spot”.

Apple first announced the AI-enhanced Siri at the Developers Conference held in June 2024, but its launch was postponed until March 2025 before being delayed again due to technical challenges.

Cook announced this timeline after discussing with the company’s investors in the latest earnings report, citing the technical challenges as the reason for the delay in launching these features so far.

The report indicates that Apple faced a lawsuit from users over the delay in launching these features, as users believe that Apple has impeded their access to the previously announced features.

Apple had previously announced that Siri would become smarter and capable of controlling a range of internal applications within the company's systems, including gathering information from emails and text messages, as well as the company’s capability to aggregate data from more than one application at a time.

Cook acknowledged the recent agreement that the company made with "OpenAI", maker of "ChatGPT", to further integrate the model into Siri and rely on it in many functions of the enhanced version of the voice assistant, indicating that Apple is seeking to build more such collaborations.

Cook expects a significant improvement in iPhone sales during the holiday season, surpassing current Wall Street analysts' expectations, and referred to the financial results that exceeded expectations in the third quarter of 2025, adding that the launch of AI-enhanced Siri next year will contribute to improving the company’s sales.
