Egypt A neighbor assaults an elderly woman and her daughter with disabilities at home

Khaberni - An urgent appeal was launched by a young Egyptian woman to the Ministry of Interior, the Public Prosecutor, and the Ismailia Security Director, demanding immediate intervention after her elderly mother and mentally disabled sister were subjected to harassment and repeated assaults inside their home in Future City, Ismailia Governorate.

She confirmed in a post shared through a group specializing in tracking official complaints of Egyptian citizens, that their neighbor, named Nader Ibrahim, has turned his apartment into illegal shops and is waging a daily thuggery campaign against them, including throwing stones and glass, uttering insults, making verbal abuses, and demeaning practices towards her sister with special needs, in addition to threatening them with force to seize two apartments they own either by force or coercion.

The young woman mentioned that the neighbor uses his family and friends to carry out his threats, causing her family to live in a permanent state of fear and anxiety, and pushing her disabled sister to go on a hunger strike in protest against the injustice inflicted on her.

She explained that she tried to protect her family alone after the death of her father years ago, but felt helpless in the face of the magnitude of threats and recurring violence, especially after being prevented from leaving or exiting the house.

The plea included a call for official authorities to take urgent legal actions to stop the assaults, provide protection for the family, prevent the neighbor from continuing his thuggery and intimidation, and to ensure their legitimate rights and personal safety.
