Khaberni - Yusuf Al-Issawi, the head of the Royal Hashemite Court, stated that a committee was formed with local community participation following the royal visit to Karak last year, to develop a plan for preserving Karak Castle and the old city and revitalizing them. He noted that the committee approved the tourism development plan for 2025-2026, which includes priority projects.
Al-Issawi reviewed the royal initiatives carried out in various areas of Karak since 2006 to date, exceeding a total value of 50 million dinars, focusing on rehabilitating buildings and vital facilities and developing infrastructure.
Al-Issawi explained that the royal initiatives in Karak have served sectors of education, youth, health, social development, tourism, and the environment, in addition to productive projects that provided job opportunities for the residents of the province.
During his meeting with notables and representatives of the sons and daughters of Karak in the Prince Faisal Sports City in the province, on Sunday, His Majesty King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of the government continuing to implement its projects in the Karak governorate, following up on their completion, and maintaining communication with the citizens.
