Girl caught trying to enter the Grand Egyptian Museum with a forged permit

Khaberni - Security forces in Giza arrested a girl who attempted to enter the Grand Egyptian Museum with a forged permit, after it was revealed to have been issued by a fictitious office in Helwan.

The security forces at the Giza Security Directorate successfully thwarted an attempt by a girl to enter the Grand Egyptian Museum through gate number 9 using a fake permit, in an incident that sparked widespread controversy as the museum prepared for its historic opening.

According to preliminary investigations, the accused girl, who holds a bachelor's degree in law, tried to enter the museum, but security personnel suspected the validity of the permit she possessed, leading to her detention and search, during which a mobile phone and a laptop were found.

During her interrogation, she confessed to having obtained the permit from one of her colleagues, a graduate of the Faculty of Mass Communication, who was officially permitted to enter the museum as part of the media team covering the event.

It was discovered upon examination that the girl had contacted two offices in the Helwan area, claiming they could issue official entry permits, before she designed a forged permit after informing security that her colleague had lost her original permit.

The girl and those involved in the incident were arrested, and a report was filed at the Al-Haram Police Station, while the Public Prosecutor's Office began an investigation to uncover the details of the incident and the source of the forged permit.
