Khaberni - In pursuit of the vision of the College of Engineering at Arab Amman University in supporting student creativity and fostering a sense of belonging and innovation, the Department of Architecture organized the launch ceremony of the Architectural Club (Architek Club) under the title "Architect Smurf", in a vibrant and creative atmosphere. The opening was conducted by Dr. Hossam Al-Hamd, Vice President of the University for Planning and Quality Assurance, representing the President of the University, Dr. Muhammad Al-Wadyan, with the attendance of Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, Dean of the College of Engineering, along with several academic and administrative staff members of the college, as well as students of the Architecture Department and new students, to welcome them in their first academic year.
In this regard, Dr. Al-Hamd expressed his pride in the innovative work presented by the students of the College of Engineering, reflecting a renewed architectural thought, affirming the continuous support of the university administration for the student activities that contribute to building a vibrant and collaborative university environment. He pointed out that the launch of the Architectural Club represents a significant step towards enhancing creativity and innovation among students, and creating an interactive space that brings them together to exchange ideas and hone their practical skills, positively reflecting on their academic and professional future.
For his part, Dr. Al-Assaf indicated that the launch of the Architectural Club is part of the effort of the College of Engineering to develop the students' practical and creative skills, and to create a university environment that encourages innovation and teamwork, which enhances their engagement in extracurricular activities that contribute to building their academic and professional character. He explained that the Architectural Club, Architek Club, represents an opportunity for interaction with issues of architecture, design, and the modern urban environment.
The event included a series of interactive activities and artistic and architectural shows that highlighted the students' talents and innovative capabilities, along with an exhibition of outstanding works presented by the students of the Department of Architecture, which embodied their creative ideas and academic projects in a professional artistic style. At the end of the event, the new students expressed their happiness with this distinguished initiative that allowed them to get to know the college family and their fellow students, confirming their eagerness to actively participate in college activities and continue their journey in the world of architecture with a spirit of creativity and belonging.
