Khaberni - Since the beginning of the season, Hansi Flick, the coach of Barcelona, faces a major crisis characterized by frequent injuries and his need to field players out of their usual positions to address various shortages.
Flick has been forced to continually adjust the team's lineup and not being able to play the same formation in two consecutive matches due to numerous and diverse injuries.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," between August 2024 and October 2025, Barcelona suffered 38 different injuries, averaging between two and three injuries per month, while this rate increased to five injuries per month this season.
The latest to join the injured list at Barça is Pedri, who suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh which will keep him off the field for several weeks to come.
Pedri, 22 years old, will miss the match against Elche at Montjuic Stadium due to a suspension, and will be out for at least two UEFA Champions League matches against Club Brugge, and a Spanish League match against Celta Vigo on November 9, before the international break in mid-November.
Pedri's injury adds to the long list of absences in the Catalan team, which includes Brazilian Rafinha, Spaniard Gavi, German Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Dane Andreas Christensen.
However, Flick has raised the challenge and urged his players to focus in the matches and give their utmost to achieve victory in this match to continue chasing Real Madrid at the top of the rankings.
Barcelona is looking to return to the winning path after losing the Clásico match when they host Elche tomorrow Sunday in the 11th round of the Spanish League.
