Khaberni - The Grand Criminal Court in Amman issued a sentence of 20 years of temporary hard labor against a woman after convicting her of felonious intentional murder, following the death of her husband whom she had beaten and then burned his body.

In the details of the case, the woman was married to the victim, who frequently mistreated her both physically and verbally.
On the day of the incident, the man returned home drunk and found that his wife had not prepared his meal, leading to a dispute, after which she went to her nearby family's home and brought him food.
The victim ate the meal and left for work, then returned again drunk, and another dispute occurred, during which he hit her, causing her to flee to her family's home.

That evening, the accused received a call from her daughter (a witness in the case) informing her that her father had gone to sleep. At that time, she had decided to take revenge on him, so she returned to the house accompanied by her son (a witness in the case) and a relative of hers.
She went to her husband's bedroom, hit him on the head with a blunt instrument, then the relative (the accused's relative) wrapped a rope around the victim's neck and strangled him, before they dragged him to the corridor, where she covered his body with a blanket, poured kerosene on it, and set it on fire.

Afterwards, the wife locked the house door and left to her family's house, where she slept without telling anyone what had happened.

The following morning, the son went to the house at his mother's request, and found that the house was severely damaged from the fire, and that his father was still alive.

The husband was rushed to the hospital, but later died due to severe burns, injuries from beating, and strangulation.
