Khaberni - Labor Minister Khaled Al-Bakkar emphasized that one of the main challenges in today's labor market is the shift of work patterns to various forms of flexible work, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence, data processing, information technology, cybersecurity, among others, noting that if we do not adapt to these changes, we will find ourselves isolated from the global market demands.
He added that among the challenges facing the global labor market is that countries achieving high economic growth have low population growth, and if there is a bridging with countries that have high population growth and skilled labor to support their economy, there will be a distortion in the global labor market.
Al-Bakkar pointed out that the vision of economic modernization that transcends governments is based on two pillars: the first is economic growth, and the second is providing job opportunities for the youth targeted in the vision over 10 years, stressing that this requires providing local job opportunities and marketing qualified Jordanian skills required regionally and globally.
