Khaberni - Energy specialist Amer Al-Shoubaki stated on Facebook that the government insists on applying daylight saving time during the winter for the fourth year claiming it saves energy.
He confirmed in a post on his personal Facebook account that this measure would have the exact opposite effect, increasing energy consumption in homes and government departments by approximately 5%, with additional costs to the government ranging between 5 and 10 million dinars.
