Khaberni - Director Rami Imam revealed his new cinematic project, through which he revives one of his father, the leader Adel Imam's most famous films, "Searching for a Scandal," which was released in 1973, in a new version that carries a different vision suitable for the taste of the modern audience.
Rami explained in his statements to the program ET in Arabic, that he is currently working on preparing to launch the movie in 2026, saying: "I’m currently working on the movie 'Searching for a Scandal' that my father presented in 1973, we are remaking it but in a way that addresses the new youth."
Rami Imam pointed out that the goal of this step is to provide a contemporary treatment of the well-known comedy film, while preserving the essence of the original story loved by the audience, and adding a new youthful spirit that reflects societal changes and the evolution of cinema language.
The movie "Searching for a Scandal" is one of the standout works that consolidated Adel Imam's position in the world of Egyptian comedy, as it was released in 1973 starring Adel Imam, Mervat Amin, and Samir Sabri, written by Abu El Saud El Ibiary and Farouk Sabri, and directed by Niazi Mostafa.
It is expected that the new work will feature an artistic mix that combines nostalgia for the classics and the shine of modernity, in an attempt to reintroduce the Egyptian laughter with the spirit of this generation, as Rami confirmed that reproducing his father's artistic heritage is a great responsibility and an attempt to honor his history in a contemporary style that befits his name and his audience across generations.
