The first episode begins with a scene that embodies the absurd atmosphere of the series, where "Theo" drives his old dilapidated car, challenging an arrogant Mustang driver in a street race that ends with a traffic violation and the threat of towing his car.
In his ongoing attempts to rectify his situation, he gets into a physical fight with his father, who refuses to give him money, before he and his friend "Johnny" decide to reclaim their jobs at the fast food restaurant, after being previously fired for disastrous actions like putting a vacuum cleaner in a frying pan.
The work presents a series of illogical situations that portray the silliness of reality in a humorous way, where the comedy arises from the absurdity of the characters and their ignorance rather than from the events themselves. Secondary characters—like the mother who runs away from her husband addicted to dumpster food, and the father who ends up in the hospital after overeating—appear as part of this sarcastic world full of paradoxes.
