Khaberni - The medical controversy regarding the condition of promising winger Ameen Yamaal has resurfaced, as Dr. Pedro Luis Ripol, a prominent sports injury specialist, provided a detailed evaluation of the injury troubling the young Barcelona star.

According to the diagnosis of the medical team of the Catalan club on September 7, Yamaal suffers from what is known as "Púbalgia," chronic pains affecting the pubic joint.

Dr. Ripol explained that the essence of the problem lies in a "biomechanical battle" ongoing between muscle groups, specifically between the thigh adductor muscles—extremely strong—and the muscles that form the athlete's abdominal wall.

Ripol emphasized that this injury, although it does not prevent the player from playing matches, turns him into "a completely different athlete":

He becomes much slower in movement.
His reaction speed diminishes.
His ability to shoot towards the goal weakens, as the injured muscle is fundamental in the kicking process.

Risk of "overload" and the winter season
The doctor warned that this condition results from "overloading," noting that the upcoming period holds more difficulties: "The worst months have not yet come."

This is due to the moisture of the pitches in the winter season, which forces the player to exert extra effort to maintain balance due to increased slipping of the shoes on the pitch surface.

Dr. Ripol also pointed out that the adductor muscle injury is often accompanied by what is known as "sports hernia" in the abdominal wall, a condition that might sometimes require surgical intervention to correct.

Ripol confirmed that Yamaal's condition is not unique and has become relatively common among professionals in the recent seasons. As for treatment options, the best choice remains "conservative treatment" (non-surgical), which achieves a very high success rate, resorting to surgical operation as a last resort if desired results from conservative treatment are not achieved.
