UN report documents 60 settler attacks in the West Bank over a week

Khaberni - Settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces today, Friday, launched attacks on Palestinians and their properties in various areas of the West Bank, while a UN office documented 60 attacks carried out by Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank over the past week.

According to sources for the Al Jazeera correspondent, dozens of settlers infiltrated from the Susiya settlement into the village, throwing stones at its houses before the residents confronted them, noting that the settlers withdrew towards the settlement, while the occupation police stormed the village after the attack.

A settler also expelled an elderly Palestinian man from his land and prevented him from harvesting olive fruits after he stormed it with herds of cattle that cause damage to the agricultural land in Masafer Yatta area in Hebron in the West Bank.

Settlers also set fire to two vehicles belonging to Palestinians in the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, amidst the ongoing attacks by the settlers in various areas of the occupied West Bank under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

Palestinian platforms documented settlers burning vehicles of Palestinians in the plastics area between the villages of Kafr Qaddum (east of Qalqilya) and Beit Lid (east of Tulkarm), amid the attempts of the locals to repel the attack.

"The Cave Family"

On the other hand, the family of Palestinian Jalal Al-Amour has been living in the open air in the Masafer Yatta area south of Hebron for 11 days after Israeli settlers seized a cave they had been residing in, following the repeated destruction of their home by the occupation authorities on the claim of "building without a permit".

The family of 10 was forced to live in the cave after repeated demolitions, but on October 21, while attending a social event, they were surprised to find a settler and his family inside the cave, having raised the Israeli flag and claiming ownership of it after having destroyed the family's belongings.

Since then, the family members, supported by activists and sympathizers, have been camping near the cave, demanding its restoration, while Al-Amour insists, "This is my house and I will not give it up, and I will remain here until I reclaim it," noting that a legal team is following up on the case.

The Masafer Yatta area is experiencing an escalation in settler attacks, where a settlement outpost near two villages has been established, used as a launching point for attacks aiming to displace the Palestinian residents, according to local activists.

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed that it documented 60 attacks carried out by Israeli settlers in the West Bank over the past week.

The UN office clarified that this year's olive harvest season in the occupied West Bank witnessed the highest level of damage, noting that the attacks by settlers on olive farmers resulted in 17 Palestinians being injured.

Simultaneously with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of 1062 Palestinians and injuring about 10,000 others, in addition to the arrest of more than 20,000 people including 1600 children.

Israel began a genocide in the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, which lasted two years and left more than 68,000 martyrs and over 170,000 wounded, concluded by a ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10, 2025.
