Khaberni - The Israeli Minister of Defense, Yisrael Katz, announced today, Friday, the dismissal of the Chief Military Prosecutor "Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi" from her position for suspected involvement in leaking a video showing a brutal assault on a Palestinian prisoner last year.

Katz stated that Yerushalmi will not return to her position because of her involvement in the leak of a video about the Sde Timan detainee, adding that anyone involved in the "blood defamation" of soldiers in the Sde Timan case will be prosecuted.

The Israeli Occupation Army said that the Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, has placed the Chief Military Prosecutor on temporary leave until the completion of investigations following suspicions involving the Military Prosecution in the video leak.

These developments come after an investigation conducted by the Occupation Army last Wednesday concerning the scandal of leaking a video showing brutal torture of a Gaza prisoner at the hands of Israeli soldiers in the Sde Timan detention center.

Israeli media reported that the investigation was initiated following an impromptu interview with an employee of the Military Prosecution who underwent a polygraph test concerning this video leak.

According to Haaretz, law enforcement sources suspect that individuals close to the chief of police leaked the video, and it is expected that Yerushalmi will present her version of events during the investigation.

Last summer, Channel 12 of Israel released a video documenting sexual assault by Israeli soldiers on a Palestinian prisoner in the Sde Timan camp in the Negev Desert, sparking widespread outrage on social media.

According to Israeli press at the time, the prisoner suffered from a torn intestine, severe injuries to the anus and lungs, and broken ribs.
