Khaberni - The Jordanian mission concluded its participation in the third edition of the Asian Youth Games, which was hosted by the Bahraini capital, Manama, over the past two weeks.
The Jordanian mission succeeded in winning 13 medals, including two golds, two silvers, and nine bronzes.
The two gold medals came through the national equestrian team consisting of riders: Taimour Olsirem, Ghazi Al-Aboura, Iman Al-Daghistani, and Mohammad Abu Hamour in the show jumping events and national team Muay Thai player Ryan Ahmed.
The two silver medals were achieved through the national electronic sports team consisting of players: Mohammad Muslim, Ali Al-Far, Adam Abdullah, and Yazen Umeira in the Rocket League 3v3 game, and national taekwondo team player Abdullah Shahin.
The nine bronze medals came through national taekwondo team players: Ahmad Al-Rabab'ah, Rania Tqatqa, Lama Al-Baqour, Fatima Al-Abdallat, Zainab Basila, and national beach wrestling team player Zayd Naghuj, national boxing team player Moataz Al-Masha’leh, national mixed martial arts team player Suleiman Al-Shehab, and national Muay Thai team player Selina Al-Hayek.
The Jordanian mission which participated in the Asian Youth Games was composed of 120 athletes representing sports: handball, volleyball, mixed martial arts, taekwondo, basketball, Muay Thai, golf, boxing, athletics, triathlon, cycling, electronic sports, swimming, wrestling, judo, jujutsu, equestrian, camel racing, and kurash.
It is noted that Jordan had three medals in the previous two editions of the Asian Youth Games, achieved through national squash team player Mohammad Al-Seraj and national taekwondo team players Anas Al-Aurani and Rania Al-Fawa'rah.
