Khaberni - The New York Post reported that U.S. President Donald Trump has called for putting Joe Biden behind bars, after a report was published revealing that the investigation into him in the “Arctic Frost” case started on "weak grounds".
Trump wrote in a post on the Truth Social platform: "He is a criminal and belongs in jail.. A despicable and failed person.. ugly inside and out!.. I beat him badly and I love watching him squirm now," clearly referring to Biden.
According to the newspaper, a document released on October 7, 2025, revealed that under Biden's administration, the FBI obtained phone records of nine Republican members of Congress, including eight current senators, as part of an investigation known as "Arctic Frost," related to allegations of interference in the 2020 U.S. presidential elections.
The document explained that the investigation began in April 2022 and was later supervised by former special counsel Jack Smith, focusing on efforts by Trump and his allies to challenge the election results, including submitting alternative lists of electoral delegates.
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley described the investigation as “worse than the Watergate scandal,” saying: “What was revealed today speaks of appalling and unconstitutional political behavior by the FBI under Biden”.
Grassley mentioned that the document was recently delivered to Congress before its publication, pledging to continue the investigation into the case and to summon prominent figures such as Jack Smith and former FBI Director Christopher Wray.
Meanwhile, the current FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the office under Biden exceeded its powers, saying: “Phone records of lawmakers were seized for political purposes.. This overreach of power must stop now," committing to transparency and accountability in the coming phase.
