Khaberni - A trilateral technical meeting between Jordan, Syria, and Turkey to enhance cooperation in the fields of road and rail transport was held on the sidelines of the joint Jordanian-Syrian Technical Committee for Road Transport that convened in Damascus.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Transport Fares Abu Diya and the accompanying delegation, Syrian Deputy Minister of Transport for Road Transport Affairs Mohammad Omar Rahal, and the Director-General for Foreign Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Burak Ekan.
According to a statement released by the ministry today, the meeting is part of efforts aimed at enhancing regional cooperation and developing transportation networks among the three countries.
The meeting saw participation from the Jordanian and Syrian sides in Damascus, while the Turkish side participated via remote communication, discussing ways to develop cooperation in the fields of road and rail transport, contributing to supporting and facilitating the movement of passengers and goods and enhancing intra-regional trade.
The trilateral meeting focused on the importance of expanding cooperation horizons and simplifying procedures related to transport operations, with the aim of improving supply chains and facilitating trade exchange, thereby enhancing economic stability and reflecting the depth of relations connecting Jordan, Syria, and Turkey.
This meeting continues the efforts made to enhance integration in the transport sector and develop shared infrastructure, which supports economic and commercial development in the region.
