Trump announced today, Thursday, that the United States would immediately resume testing of its nuclear arsenal, without providing additional details.
This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier on Wednesday that Moscow had successfully tested an underwater Russian drone capable of carrying nuclear warheads, challenging Washington's warnings.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social": "Due to testing programs being conducted by other countries, I have instructed the Department of War to begin testing our nuclear weapons equally," noting that the tests would resume "immediately".
