Enhancing Cooperation between Jordan Syria and Turkey in Land and Rail Transport

Khaberni - A tripartite technical meeting was held between Jordan, Syria, and Turkey on the sidelines of the Jordanian-Syrian Joint Technical Committee for Land Transport that convened in Damascus, with the participation of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport Fares Abu Diya and his accompanying delegation, the Syrian Deputy Minister of Transport for Land Transport Affairs Mohammad Omar Rahal, and the General Director of Foreign Affairs at the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Burak Ekan, focusing on enhancing regional cooperation and developing transport networks among the three countries.

The meeting saw participation from the Jordanian and Syrian sides in Damascus, while the Turkish side participated via remote communication, where discussions focused on ways to develop cooperation in land and rail transport, contributing to the support and facilitation of passenger and freight movement and enhancing interregional trade between the three countries.

The tripartite gathering emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation horizons and simplifying procedures associated with transport operations, aiming to improve supply chains and facilitate trade exchange, which enhances economic stability and reflects the depth of relations linking Jordan, Syria, and Turkey.

This meeting continues the efforts made to boost integration in the transport sector and develop shared infrastructure, supporting economic and commercial development in the region.
