Khaberni -
A number of students at the Hakama Vocational Training Institute in Irbid province were poisoned today, Thursday, due to consuming "Manakish Zaatar" from a nearby bakery during the break period.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Nawafleh, the director of public health at Princess Basma Teaching Hospital, confirmed that the hospital received seven cases showing symptoms of poisoning, including diarrhea and fever, noting that two of them remained under medical observation, while five cases left after their health status stabilized.
Al-Nawafleh explained that the number of injuries may be greater than the cases that reached the hospital, as some students visited the Hakama health center and were satisfied with receiving treatment there, without the need to transfer them to the hospital.
The health authorities in Irbid are closely monitoring the situation, to take necessary measures and ensure the safety of the food sources in the area.
