Khaberni - Petra University President, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim, accompanied by the General Manager of Noor Al-Mal for Global Markets and Financial Brokerage, Mr. Sadiq Saadeh, inaugurated the Fintech Lab at the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, completely funded by Noor Al-Mal company, marking the culmination of the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties.
The president expressed his gratitude in his speech to Noor Al-Mal for their generous support, affirming that the Fintech Lab is the first of its kind across Jordanian universities. It aims to provide an educational, practical environment that supports students in the field of financial technology and enhances their technical and practical skills.
Financial expert at Noor Al-Mal, Mohammad Al-Nabulsi, presented an explanatory demonstration about the concept of the lab, explaining that it simulates trading rooms in financial markets and includes the latest technologies such as artificial intelligence, which provides students access to global financial databases that help them perform financial analysis based on advanced scientific principles.
The General Manager of Noor Al-Mal, Sadiq Saadeh, expressed his pride in the collaboration with Petra University, affirming that the university distinguished itself with rapid response and cooperation in completing the project within a record time, noting that this cooperation represents a successful model for partnership between the academic and financial sectors.
In turn, the Dean of the College of Administrative and Financial Sciences, Dr. Suheir Al-Jaghoub, confirmed that the lab forms the core of ongoing cooperation between the college and Noor Al-Mal, indicating that it will contribute to endowing the college students with professional skills and financial culture based on scientific foundations and correct practical applications.
It is worth noting that the Fintech Lab at Petra University is equipped with the latest devices, computers, and screens connected to financial markets and global databases such as Bloomberg and Reuters, enabling students to practice hands-on training in simulating financial market environments and analyzing economic and financial indicators in a comprehensive scientific manner.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mr. Laith Al-Shreim and a number of company employees, along with deans of the colleges, heads of academic departments at the university, and a group of faculty members and students from the college.
