Khaberni - The Combined Task Force "CTF-150", currently commanded by the Saudi Royal Naval Forces, managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle a massive shipment of drugs during its operations in the area of responsibility.
The operation was part of the focused operation "Al-Musmak", executed under the leadership and coordination of Combined Task Force "CTF-150", as part of international joint efforts to combat drug smuggling and illicit activities in high seas.
Brigadier Rear Admiral Fahd bin Suneidah Al-Jaeed, commander of the Combined Task Force "CTF-150", explained that the Pakistani naval forces ship "Yarmouk" carried out one of the most successful drug seizure operations in the history of the Combined Maritime Forces "CMF", having intercepted two boats within less than 48 hours.
He noted that the operation resulted in the seizure of large quantities of methamphetamine "Shabu" on board the first boat, and methamphetamine and cocaine on board the second boat.
Brigadier Al-Jaeed emphasized that the success of Operation "Al-Musmak" highlights the importance of international cooperation and the integration of efforts in enhancing maritime security and combating illicit activities, pointing out that this achievement reflects the commitment of the Combined Maritime Forces "CMF" to continue their efforts in countering drug smuggling and organized crime, contributing to enhancing the security and stability of maritime pathways, and protecting regional and international interests and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation.
He added that the specialized operations carried out by the force will contribute to enhancing the efficiency and experience of officers and non-commissioned officers in a mixed multinational work environment, and will enhance the capabilities of the Saudi Royal Naval Forces in their leadership role within the coalition of the Combined Maritime Forces.
