Khaberni - The Internal Security Directorate in the Eastern Region of Homs Province, in cooperation with the Anti-Terrorism Branch, arrested Faisal Ahmad Marouf and his son Ahmad Faisal Marouf, during a quality operation executed after precise field monitoring and tracking their movements.
The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated in a statement via its channel on the Telegram application, that the detainees are involved in committing severe violations against civilians in Homs Province during the rule of the former regime.
The initial investigations revealed that the criminals held leadership positions over groups that engaged in killing, armed robbery, and thuggish arrests against the locals in Salamiyah and Abu Hakfa areas during that period.
The ministry confirmed that they are being investigated under the supervision of the competent judiciary, in preparation for taking the necessary legal actions against them, noting that the operation was the result of tight security coordination between the relevant agencies.
The leadership of the Internal Security in Homs Province emphasized its continued efforts to ensure security and stability for all residents of the province, affirming that it is pursuing all wanted individuals who have committed crimes and violations against citizens, no matter how long it takes.
