Jordan Civil Status Department issues 280000 digital certificates since the launch of the service

Khaberni - The General Director of the Civil Status and Passports Department, Engineer Gaith Al-Tayeb, confirmed that the department has issued 280,000 digital certificates through the "Sanad" application and its associated electronic services platform since the launch of the service.
Al-Tayeb said, during his inspection of the main Mafraq statuses offices, Al-Salihiyah, and Subha, that the digital certificates project is one of the most prominent outputs of the digital transformation strategy adopted by the department, which contributed to facilitating procedures, saving time and effort, reducing congestion, and enhancing the quality of electronic services, confirming that the increasing demand for digital services reflects the citizens' confidence in the electronic transformation system.
He indicated that the department is working on developing more electronic services in preparation for the gradual transition towards the model of the "Integrated Digital Department," which enables the completion of transactions electronically in full, pointing out that the launch of the electronic passport comes within this strategic direction.
He said that "Al-Mafraq Statuses" includes several offices serving citizens, distributed over the governorate’s districts, population gatherings, and its northern Badia, noting that the directorate has completed since the beginning of this year more than 101335 documents, including 11423 passports, 10792 family books, and 39002 vital incident certificates, while the number of smart cards exceeded 20404 cards, in addition to archiving 43389 files from Mafraq passports files, including the archiving of 1595193 documents.
He explained that the field tours of the department's offices aim to evaluate the performance of employees and the smoothness of procedures related to issuing documents without any obstacles, in accordance with the laws and instructions regulating the work of the department, noting that these tours provide an opportunity to measure the level of citizen satisfaction with the services provided and to identify field challenges, which positively reflects on improving the level of service and developing the overall performance of the offices.
He called for the need to analyze the most prominent issues mentioned in the mystery shopper report of the "Al-Mafraq Statuses" offices and to develop a work plan to address those observations within a specific timeframe, whether through training and qualifying employees, improving the work environment, or developing administrative procedures.
During the tour, Al-Tayeb met with the governor of Mafraq, Dr. Firas Abu Al-Ghanam, and they emphasized the importance of continuous coordination and enhancing integration among the governmental departments in the governorate, in line with the governmental directives aimed at facilitating the citizens, and developing the government service environment, making it easier for citizens, and saving their time and efforts.
