Khaberni - Mohammed Al-Momani, the Minister of Government Communication and the government spokesperson, stated on Wednesday that since the beginning of Jaafar Hassan's government about a year ago, sessions have been held in the provinces. The sessions started in Karak, then in Irbid, and continued throughout the rest of the provinces until reaching Aqaba, and today in the capital, Amman.
Al-Momani added during statements to the "Al-Mamlaka" channel that the developmental vision for the capital, Amman, was presented, as it was for the other provinces by the different ministries and the Amman Secretariat.
He noted that these projects were announced, as there was discussion about them by members of the House of Representatives and mayors outside the jurisdiction of the Amman Secretariat.
Al-Momani confirmed that these projects would be "a great good" for the city of Amman and its residents, as they will contribute to its investment and economic support. He mentioned that attention was drawn to the cable car project that stretches from Jabal Al-Qal'a to Al-Lwebdeh, and from Jabal Al-Qal'a to the Roman Theater, with the aim of investing in the historical and ancient city of Amman and building on that touristically and investment-wise.
The minister spoke about the alternative route (Sweileh - Naour Bridge) which has become more necessary due to the traffic congestion that connects the north to the south, in addition to the expansion of parks and more traffic measures and reforms, and a strategic vision for dealing with various services in the city of Amman.
Al-Momani explained that the government will resume its sessions in the provinces at the beginning of next year in the same sequence as before, expecting the launch of many major strategic projects such as the national carrier, railways, energy, and the Risha gas transport during the next year, including projects in the final stages of financial closure like the national carrier project.
He clarified that the Jordanian company for managing cities and facilities, wholly owned by the government, will invest in existing assets to attract more investments and create projects.
Al-Momani said that the cabinet sessions to be held in the provinces during the next year will display the completion percentage of the projects committed by the government.
He affirmed that the government is committed to implementing any commitment it has made, and if any implementation fails, this will be clarified along with the indication that the completion rate is high.
