Khaberni - The head of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee, Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, said on Wednesday that a control, command, and surveillance center will be established through a camera system, where 3,000 cameras will be installed, with an additional 2,500 surveillance cameras to be added next year.
He added, on Wednesday, that the cameras will monitor traffic movement and provide the municipality with a database for analysis, such as the number of vehicles and others.
When asked if they will include violations, he said they will cover violations such as speeding, seatbelt usage, lane changing, mobile phone usage, and monitoring "no stopping and parking" violations.
