Dubai welcomes 1254 million international tourists during the first 8 months of 2025

Khaberni - Dubai welcomed more than 3.86 million international tourists at the peak of summer 2025 between June and August, with an average reaching more than 1.28 million visitors monthly and about 43,000 tourists daily, according to the latest data from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, which Emirates Today obtained a copy of.

The number of international tourists to Dubai increased from 8.68 million by the end of May to 12.54 million by the end of August, while the hotel market continued to achieve strong gains in tourist flow rates to the emirate this year, compared to the previous year's levels.

The data indicated that Dubai continues to enhance its status as a prominent summer destination, compared to last year's levels only. These results come amidst strong rates recorded across various performance indicators: the number of international tourists, nights booked, daily rate, in addition to the average room return.

The CEO of Carlton Hotels, Hosni Abdelhadi, said, "Tourism in Dubai is no longer associated with specific seasons, as the emirate has become a global destination that attracts visitors year-round, including the summer months between June and August," indicating that "this performance enhances the continuing growth in the number of international visitors, as Dubai has become among the top three most visited cities in the world in recent years."

He added that "Dubai offers a diverse tourist experience combining entertainment, shopping, culture, and relaxation, along with major events throughout the year, such as (Dubai Summer Surprises) and (Dubai Food Festival) among other events," noting that these events contribute to enhancing the internal economic movement, and revitalizing the hospitality, retail, and entertainment sectors.

Abdelhadi explained that "marketing campaigns and summer offers organized by institutions like the Department of Economy and Tourism and airlines, contribute to attracting an increasing number of visitors during the summer months, and the quality of infrastructure, advanced transportation network, and Dubai International Airport, which is the busiest in the world in terms of the number of international travelers, all form factors supporting a comprehensive and comfortable tourist experience."

He mentioned that hotels maintained high occupancy rates in many tourist areas, supported by attractive summer offers and major entertainment events, pointing out that Dubai relies - in attracting visitors during the summer - on the variety of its domestic tourist experiences, as the city provides an ideal environment for enjoying indoor and air-conditioned activities suitable for all ages and groups, and noted that hotel establishments offered several deals that included accommodation rates, and food and entertainment services throughout the summer months.

It is worth noting that Dubai welcomed a total of 12.54 million international tourists during the first eight months of the current year, compared to 11.93 million tourists in the same period of 2024, with a growth rate of about 5%, which is a record number in flow rates during this period.
