Turkey Reopens Case on the Death of Singer Gullu After Daughter Accused of Murder

Khaberni - The debate has returned to the Turkish media scene regarding the death of the famous singer Gullu, who died after falling from the window of her home in Yalova.

Turkish media reported that her former manager, Ferdi Aydin, made shocking allegations against her daughter, Tugyan Alkum Gultur, claiming she was behind her mother's death, which sparked a wave of outrage and controversy among the public and local press.

Aydin said in an official complaint submitted to the public prosecutor in Yalova that he has WhatsApp conversations showing Tugyan's prior intent to get rid of her mother, including a message where she wrote: "Can you find someone to kill my mother?", indicating that the incident was not an accident, but the result of planning for about six months.

During her interrogation by the public prosecutor in Yalova, Tugyan Gultur confirmed that the messages did indeed come from her, but she denied any involvement in her mother's death, saying: "The messages are correct, I wrote them in moments of anger after family arguments, but I did not kill my mother."

The artist Gullu died on September 26th last year after falling from the sixth floor of her home in the Chinarcik district of Yalova, while she was with her daughter and a friend. The incident was categorized as an accidental fall at the time, but doubts have not ceased since then, especially after conflicting accounts of what happened that night emerged.
On her part, Tugyan and her brother denied all accusations, announcing their intention to file a legal complaint against Ferdi Aydin for "defamation and spreading false news"K As Tugyan stated in a previous interview: "We could not even grieve our mother because of the lies, she was the closest person to me, and my close friend, we were happy spending the last day together, so how can it be said that I wanted her dead?".
