Khaberni - The Minister of Government Communication, the government spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Momani, confirmed on Wednesday, that work will begin on implementing a cable car project at Jabal Al-Qala’a; to be a significant tourist, investment, and economic attraction that contributes to restoring the brilliance to central and east Amman and enhances job opportunities, and cements the old Amman's status as a significant tourist destination, considering it a heritage and historical and rooted community.

He added during a press conference held after a cabinet meeting that the Jabal Al-Qala’a cable car project will be managed by Amman Vision Company with support from the Ministry of Tourism, and will be launched across two routes extending from Jabal Al-Qala’a to Al-Luweibdeh and the Roman Amphitheatre, and will be operational within 15 months.

He spoke about a direction to expand the rapid bus service.

He explained that the water sector projects will cover all areas of Amman with a cost reaching 300 million Jordanian dinars.

He affirmed that the government does not encroach on the funds of the Social Security Investment Fund, emphasizing that the fund offers investment opportunities, including bonds.

He pointed out that work is underway to complete the infrastructure works for the second phase of the expansion of the King Hussein Business Complex at a cost of 8.5 million Jordanian dinars.

Work is also underway on a group of projects that were previously announced, such as building schools in partnership between the public and private sectors, according to Al-Momani.
